Membership Info

You can click the link below for a copy of the application, print it and mail it in to the address shown on the application. You will receive your ABATE card and start getting your state magazine in roughly 2-3 months. Please retain the portion of the membership application marked receipt for your records and in case there is any issue with your membership. You can contact our Membership Officer if there is a problem or you have not received your membership card in the above mentioned time frame. Contact Chuck Nichols Membership Officer

Becoming a member does not mean you have to attend meetings or events although it benefits everyone when people show up join in and have fun! We do love members that show up to runs too, since most of our runs benefit charity organizations. Becoming a member of ABATE helps at the state and national level when we are fighting for motorcyclists rights and discriminatory legislation by increasing our numbers. If you do not attend meetings you can check our website as well as the state website for up to date information and events that are happening around the state. You also get the state magazine which is the Michigan Rider every month and it tells you what members are doing across the state.

Becoming a member also gives you access to other state ABATE organizations and also their members. Myself as well as others have contacted other state ABATE organizations to let them know we where traveling to their state and they were glad to help us with many things! Where to go, where to stay and what to see as well as other local info and events.

When you join you will be assigned a region by the zip code you live in. This is not a random thing, you can attend meetings and events in any region but your assigned region is where the state organization will record your membership for legislative purposes. This will include the state Representatives, Senators and Congressman that are your elected officials related to that zip code and you.
